From Russia with Love (1963) is the second James Bond movie, starring Sean Connery as James Bond. While most non-studio scenes were filmed in Turkey, the famous boat chase was filmed in Scotland.

The ship serving as the floating SPECTRE headquarters is actually the 'MV Aurora', named 'Delos' during the time of filming. She was owned by the Greek Nomikos line. Built in 1955 by the German Blohm & Voss company in Hamburg, she was named 'Wappen von Hamburg' until being sold to Greece. Before getting her current name in 2009, the name changed several times. The Aurora is currently located in Stockton, California, where she is under restoration. The IMO number is 5088227

After escaping from the Orient Express, Bond und Tatiana steal this Fairey Huntress 23 near Trieste. Soon, they are engaged in a boat chase against enemy SPECTRE boats.







'SPECTRE Red'[edit | edit source]
One of the enemy boats (today named 'Liberty', for sale in 2018) is also a Huntress 23.



Fairey Huntsman 28[edit | edit source]
During the chase, the leading boat ('SPECTRE Black') is manned by Morzeny and four SPECTRE operatives. It chases Bond's Fairey Huntress 23, but gets destroyed at the end of the chase. The third boat ('SPECTRE Green') is also a Huntsman, but not as visible as Morzeny's one.
