Déjà Vu is a 2006 thriller movie starring Denzel Washington as Doug Carlin, an ATF agent who uses modern technology to travel back in time in order to prevent the bombing of a passenger ferry which happened one day before.
Sen. Alvin T. Stumpf[]
This is the ferry which the whole movie is all about. In the movie, the 'Sen. Alvin T. Stumpf' is loaded with dozens of U.S. Navy personnel on leave when a bomb, hidden in one of the cars on it, explodes. Later in the movie, the bombing does not occur, because the terrorist vehicle is thrown into the water just before the explosion. The ferry - built in 1978 - was a real New Orleans ferry, but is not in active use anymore.
